History
Our Story
It all began in the vibrant era of 1967, where Lyndon B. Johnson led the nation from the White House, and the very first Super Bowl unfolded in the glittering city of Los Angeles.
Nestled in the heart of Winnfield, Louisiana, Mr. W. E. Gordon, a seasoned Tool Pusher and Drilling Consultant in the oil field, had a dream to carve his own path in the world of construction. With unwavering determination, he founded W. E. Gordon Blacktopping Service, a company destined for greatness.
In the early days, Mr. Gordon fearlessly crafted driveways using tar and gravel, with each spray of tar and gravel spread meticulously from a trusty dump truck. As time went on, he joined forces with his two sons and son-in-law, embarking on grander ventures, eventually conquering the art of paving driveways and parking lots with hot-mix asphalt.
Today, our roots remain firmly planted as a family-owned and operated business. In 1991, after the passing of the visionary Mr. W. E. Gordon, his son Jimmy D. Gordon stepped into the role of president, ushering in a new era for Gordon Blacktopping Service. Three generations have dedicated their boundless skills and relentless efforts, propelling us to the pinnacle of excellence in the asphalt construction industry.
With countless projects under our belt, we proudly bear the mark of experience and growth since our inception.
